Harrismith Animal Shelter

Founded in September 2014, at the same premises as the previous SPCA Harrismith branch (which had closed down), the Harrismith Animal Shelter is a private NPO (Non-Profit Organization), run by incredible individuals, and helped funded by the Harrismith community.

It is the only safe and secure animal shelter in the area, and they provide for those that cannot speak or provide for themselves. They are a no-kill shelter so they do not euthanise animals that they cannot find homes for.

They rely heavily on the donations of the community so if you would like to donate as well, they appreciate dog food, dog kennels and blankets. You can also make donations of any size directly to their bank account, details below:
